Gang’s all here! Jennifer Garner had a mini Alias reunion with former costar Victor Garber and series creator J.J. Abrams at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty on Sunday, February 28.
The threesome posed together for Garber’s husband, Rainer Andreesen, who snapped the shot, smiling big for their nostalgic get-together.
Garber later posted a photo of himself with Garner, captioning the shot, “Jack and Sidney. Together again.”
Garner, 43, and Garber, 66, have remained close since the popular ABC series ended in 2006 after five seasons. On the show, the Miracles from Heaven star played double-agent Sydney Bristow, and Garber played her estranged father (and fellow spy), Jack Bristow.
Garber is even godfather of Violet, Garner’s oldest daughter with estranged husband Ben Affleck.
In Garner’s recent bombshell interview with Vanity Fair, the Legends of Tomorrow actor expressed nothing but respect for his former costar.
“From the first moment we met, there was this inexplicable chemistry and connection, this understanding that we were on the same page,” he told the publication. “She’s one of the most important people in my life.”
Abrams, 49, also had only the most complimentary things to say about the mom of three.
“I don’t remember having more fun working with anyone than I’ve had working with her,” the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director told Vanity Fair. “She’s smart-funny — she makes you want to be funnier and smarter, and you know that when you throw the best you’ve got her way she’ll make it better. No one’s perfect. But no one’s Jen Garner.”
Garner talked candidly about her divorce from Affleck, 43, in her interview, making a snide jab at the Batman v Dawn of Justice star.
“You know what we would say in my hometown about that? ‘Bless his heart,’” the West Virginia native said of Affleck’s enormous phoenix-rising tattoo. “A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario? I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes.”
