Kanye West once said that he has "trendsetting abilities," but Donnie Wahlberg has decided to take his own path in life—at least when it comes to his upcoming wedding to Jenny McCarthy. The New Kids on the Block singer and his bride-to-be joked on Wednesday, June 11, that their nuptials won't be anything like West and Kim Kardashian's Florence, Italy nuptials.

"We're not getting married in Istanbul with eight million guests," he added when the topic of Kimye came up. McCarthy chimed in: "I won't have three dresses." The Blue Bloods actor added: "No seven dresses, not going to happen…that’s their thing, good for them." (West, 37, and Kardashian, 33, tied the knot in an extravagant Europe wedding on May 24.)

The View co-host, 41, announced her engagement to Wahlberg during an episode of the ABC daytime talk show on April 16. Since then, the couple have sworn that no wedding plans have been made just yet, but have joked about where their reception could be. (At the time of the announcement, McCarthy mentioned sometime in August 2015 could be a possibility.)

Recently, McCarthy received a Twitter invite from Applebee's to have her wedding at one of their locations after she teased to the Boston Herald that the restaurant was being considered as a wedding venue.

"I thought it was very cute that Applebee's tweeted us, so we went in on it, we actually said maybe we should have them do the appetizers," McCarthy told Extra. Wahlberg added: "Or the wedding rehearsal dinner, it was really sweet of them."
