Jessica Simpson isn't amused by the Fox NFL Sunday cartoon that mocks her weight.
Though she didn't address that spoof by name, she has posted the following message on her Twitter page: "I will never understand why people attack for a laugh. Own your beauty and don't listen to the judgement [sic]."

In the spoof -- which aired during the Oct. 11 pregame show -- animated version of Dallas Cowboy players poke fun at Simpson's shape. (Simpson's ex, Tony Romo, is a Cowboys quarterback.) A cartoon version of Cowboys coach Wade Phillips asks: "Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle!"

Both Fox and Burger King have apologized. "Our poor attempt at humor was insensitive and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended," a statement read.

Simpson doesn't seem to be letting the incident get her down. The singer, 29, is currently in New York City, taking a brief break from shooting her upcoming VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty.
"Having a great sushi filled dinner with friends and fall out of the chair laughter," she Twittered.

18They only make fun because they are jealous of not looking as good as you. You were, are and will always be beautiful, so don't even give what these losers write a second thought.
People laugh at you because you're pathetic Jessica. Stop making yourself such an easy target.
Do your show, have fun, embrace your own beauty and let everyone out there say what they want. Remember the quote, "Living well is the best revenge", and live well Jessica!
Jessica is fun and easy to make fun of, blame her nasty dad for that. She may be a little porky, but at least she has a decent face, unlike her sister, the ugly one.
What does her weight have to do with whether she is talented or not?
Usually the young ones have no brains yet. Some scrawny skeltons wish they had her face for sure.
She's not fat, but somehow she is always made fun of for being fat. I don't get it. She wore some unflattering clothes a couple of times, and gets horribly abused by the media. She looks great, I would be thrilled to have her figure. Why don't we just leave Jessica alone for the rest of the year? She could use a break, I'm sure!
Because some people have no intelligence and are losers.
yes, Jessica, Mean People SUCK. Ignore them and honor yourself.
She keeps this kind of BS going. She should stop responding in any way, including Twitter! She loves being in the spotlight, which makes her an easy target. She's known for everything OTHER than talent.
Because people are jerks. And it's Fox.
This poor woman. Why do people rip on her so much. I can not believe that any organization would poke fun at a woman's weight (when there really is not a problem) in 2009!
Would Fox NFL Sunday take mean-spirited digs at Bridget Moynahan or Tila Tequila or any other celebrity ex of a football player?? I doubt it. Fox NFL and Burger King are stupid and ignorant (as are their marketing departments) who thought it would be funny!! When you point at someone, there are fingers pointing right back at you -- something to think about!!
Because people are mean and thoughtless. That's why there are dogs.
Anonymous I agree with you, it is a shame that they do that, to her or anyone who is gaining a little weight, I don't undertsand if the celebrities are super thin it is a problem, and if they are with a couple of extra pounds it is also a problem!!
REAL women have curves! Jessica, you look good, girl. Fox - you disgust me.
I'm sorry - are the Simpsons PAYING this mag $$ because I can not for the life of me figure out how you could possibly drag the storyline of "Jessica Simpson's Dog Died" out any long. The dog died. It's sad. We're over it. I don't understand what's left to talk about????
I agree that Jessica is talent-challenged and a bit on the ditzy side, but any man - or woman - mocking her for her so-called "weight problem" (which is obviously non-existent) has a serious personality disorder. Jessica is right to not accept Burger Barf's and Fox's lame insincere apology. Celebrities SHOULD be called out on their bad behavior and mocked for that, but no one should ever be mocked for their looks. Good for you, Jessica!
