It wasn't exactly a double date.
Ex-spouses Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey -- each with their current loves Eric Johnson and Vanessa Minnillo, respectively -- accidentally dined for hours at the same Hollywood restaurant on Thursday night.

A witness confirms that the couples arrived separately at The Red O restaurant around 8 p.m. (Each pair was photographed outside the hotspot.) Simpson's mom Tina also joined the star, 30, and her ex-NFL beau, 32. No word on whether the five interacted once inside. See more pics of the exes at dinner.
Lachey, 36, and Minnillo, 29, left around 11pm. Simpson's trio departed about an hour later, the observer adds.

to Tina Marie - yea, Nick is with the same lady, who when they broke up a year or so ago was caught with her tongue down some other dude's throat within 5 minutes of being single... she's no lady. And Jess doesn't jump from man to man, she's had like 3 flipping boyfriends.... choose your words properly or fans like me will be all over your sh1t..... Erin - I wish they never separated either, I loved the newleyweds. Jess is a real girl and I personally think she does great things for the unfortunate and the haters should really find someone else to rag on....... And to Ava... True Beauty was only on for a few weeks and that was all she did all year. The rest of the time she spends Nick's money partying and shopping. Sorry to tell you but she is fugly with her fat cheeks and pock marks. Nick's drinking and cheating did more damage to his marriage then Joe did. Neither Nick or Jessica are in a rush to get married which shows they both are not happy in their relationships.
Vanessa Minnillo is a beautiful and talented actress. she doesn't need Nick's money to pay her bills. She's the host of the ABC reality show True Beauty. She doesn't need much make up ,she's a natural beauty. Both Jessica and Vanessa are beautiful and smart women. Without Jessica's dad, Joe Simpson's interference, Nick & Jessica might still be married.
Allison, Vanessa doesn't boast? Uh, what about revealing her shower rountine with Nick? As far as being beautiful and holding her own, she is busted without makeup (and average at best with it) and she needs Nick to pay her bills (esp her bar tab).

i wonder if they saw each other? the report doesn't say. vanessa can hold her own and she's equally beautiful (and skinnier!) she's not boasting to the press how "in love" she is. we'll have to see on jess' xmas special if she finally got rid of the weird faces she makes when singing. something she must of picked up from john mayer.
