A family affair! Jessica Simpson took to Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 29, to share a perfectly retro Throwback Thursday shot with her mom Tina Simpson, dad Joe Simpson, and sister Ashlee Simpson.
The vintage photo shows the then-intact Simpson family posing together on a floral-print couch. Tina, who recently celebrated her 55th birthday, wears a black-and-white printed sweater and sports a voluminous hairstyle.
The mother to two grins as her youngest Ashlee, now 30, who is in a long-sleeved white top with black pants and a black wide-brimmed hat. Jessica, 34, looks adorable in the throwback photo, wearing a card suit-printed red-white-and-black sweater with a matching red hat.
The girls’ father Joe, 56, wears a loud multicolored shirt with faded jeans as he smiles wide for the camera.
“#TBT When my Mom looked like Britney Spears and my Dad looked like Troy Aikman,” Jessica captioned the image, referencing the Simpson’s one-time teen pop rival and the former Dallas Cowboys NFL star. “This picture makes me :)”
The two singers grew up with their parents in Texas, going on to pursue their onstage dreams as teenagers. After 34 years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce in 2012, and settled in 2013.
Jessica famously went through her own divorce a few years prior, when she split from then-husband Nick Lachey in 2005. She got her happy ending in NFL player Eric Johnson, whom she married in July 2014. Just a few months later, Ashlee also exchanged vows following her divorce from Pete Wentz, marrying actor Evan Ross in August 2014.
