Jessica Simpson doesn't care that the odds of finding her five year old maltipoo are slim after it was snatched from her L.A. home Monday by a coyote.

"Still holding out hope despite the a--holes that say is it a dumb thing to do," the 29 year old wrote on Twitter of her pooch, Daisy, who was a gift from ex husband Nick Lachey.

"Daisy is my baby...why would I stop searching? I'm a mom," continued Simpson.

Shortly after Simpson saw a coyote grab her pup, she posted on Twitter that she was "heartbroken" and offered a reward for its return -- even though celeb dog trainer Jennifer McCarthy told Usmagazine.com "she's probably not alive."

Simpson's also working with professional pet finding company FindToto.com, which sent a voicemail pleading for information about the dog to 1,000 of the singer's neighbors.

I feel more sympathy for what the poor dog had to go through than her idiotic owner. Hope this time she'll learn better to pay more attention to her "kid"

It truly makes me sad that there are so many cold, mean-spirited people out there. What is wrong with all of you?! Her dog meant a lot to her. For those of us who are not blessed with children, our pets ARE our children and we have the right to grieve in any way we wish when we lose them! Who is she hurting?! Why don't you go criticize people who don't care for their animals properly or are even cruel to them! Go pick on Jon & Kate for getting 3 dogs they can't even take care of!

This is so sad. My precious Golden Retriever of 14 years, 4 months, and 1 day, died on June 12, 2009. I am still grieving over him. Jessica and Daisy are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the little dog did not suffer long.

The people who have something to say about Jessica's IQ (even remotely) need to: 1. Fix their own spelling mistakes 2. Google EQ

Look at the dog's face in that picture. Daisy's thinking, "I want nothing more than to get away from this moron, Jessica Simpson and her stupid man face. I would take any way out...even a coyote eating me would be better than spending another minute with this idiot."

Jess Honey, I love dogs as much as the next person but come on! A coyote grabbed Daisy...She's not coming back. Quit making a fool of yourself. Grieve for her so you can move on.

All this PUBLICITY for a dog! When there are human beings STARVING in AFRICA. So SAD. :(

  • September 17, 2009 - 12:59pm The Harsh Truth

B-O-O H-O-O Don't you people know? Those rats are what coyote's eat for dinner. If they can't fight for themselves they're clearly for eating in the wild. Go ahead and call me mean but it's the truth. Why is this even a story? Patrick Swayze is dead.

To those pathetic dog lovers out there, a dog is an animal, how could you even dare comparing a dog with a child???? I am wondering if you would be comparing a gorilla with you lost mom??? ONLY IN AMERICA

  • September 17, 2009 - 11:07am Dog Mommy

wow, some of you people are just outright mean, nasty people. A dog IS like a child . . . they depend on you for everything and become a part of the family. I have 3 small dogs (a morkie, a silky and a chihuahua) and I would be beside myself with grief if something happened to one of them. Sure I suppose you can "just go out and get another one" but dogs have personalities just like people, and getting another one doesn't "replace" the one you lost anymore than getting another child would replace one that is lost. Man I just can't get over how cruel some of you are. You need to do some soul searching to figure out what it is that has made you so mean, nasty and cold hearted.

Jessica really IS stupid for thinking her dog could be alive somewhere. Obviously she has never heard of the circle of life. I feel sorry for Daisy but not her Dumb A** Owner, Jessica Simpson.

  • September 17, 2009 - 10:27am Anonymous

I'm sorry that Jessica lost her dog, BUT she needs to realize that Daisy is NOT coming back. (unless she managed to escape some how). The ONLY A**hole is Jessica Simpson for NOT being realistic about her poor doggie. IT'S DEAD SWEETHEART, CRY AND MOVE ON!!!!!!!!
