The former besties had a very public falling out on Bravo’s franchise nearly five years ago, which Frankel addressed last month on RHONY‘s 100th episode special. “Jill liked to control the process,” Frankel told Cohen at the time. “She had like a big plan that she was going to take me down, and it backfired in her face… Whoa, this is one cunning bitch… I’m not angry, but she’s not a person that I would want in my life.”

After replaying the clip, Cohen asked Zarin how she felt on Thursday. “I didn’t believe her when she said, ‘I wasn’t angry,'” Zarin, 51, who’s starring in a new horror movie, Night of the Wild. “I mean, she sounded angry. I felt really bad. If she really thought that that’s what I was up to, I really wasn’t up to that. It was so long ago.”

In the interim, the ladies have been through many ups and downs — separately. Frankel, 44, got married to Jason Hoppy, welcomed their daughter Bryn, 5, and is currently going through a rough divorce and custody battle. Frankel, the most successful Housewife to emerge from the franchise, has made her mark as a multimillionaire mogul with her Skinnygirl empire. Zarin, meanwhile, helped her husband through his cancer diagnosis, which she didn’t discuss on Thursday. However, she reiterated how much she missed Frankel in her life.

“It’s hard to remember how I felt, but I’ll tell you, and I want to say this. I miss her, and I want to make amends with her. I do. I mean, we tried two years ago. Listen, she’s way moved on, I’ve way moved on, but there’s something about us together that was really incredible. I would like to make up with her,” Zarin said. “What I really think is that she needed a friend like me—not on the show. Not on the show. In real life, I think she really needed a friend like me. When we were good, we were really good together and I loved her. I loved her like a sister. Like, I really loved her.”
