Despite his notorious playboy image, John Mayer -- who has romanced everyone from Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson -- insists he doesn't go after that many women because of the scrutiny on his love life.

"It’s crazy to me that in my head, that being 32 and dating women is going to get me in trouble," he says in a new interview with The New York Times.. "I can’t even explain to you how terrible that feels, that I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution. It’s a nightmare."
"I should be having sex with more girls," he adds.

Don't expect him to sing about his past few flings on his latest album, Battle Studies, either.

That is why she was flew to New York (under the public pretense of seeing a Turner exhibit) to get him to sign a new contract which stipulated that he would say NOTHING about her and was silent. Even Mayerâ??s HIDDEN SECRET girlfriend at that time, Scheana Marie, didnâ??t know what was going on and she was annoyed. There is even an x17 video of Mayer and Scheana arguing about Aniston because he cant legally tell her!!!!!!!!! . As you know he is a conceited, heartless, immature self promoting blabbermouthâ?¦.. â?¦Jen in reality couldnâ??t stand him. It was all a convenient act. That is why at the Oscars, she abandoned him apart from when it was time for pictures, then she posed, ACTING extra affectionate. Ask people who went, THEY KNOW. Mayer would leave his car there so the photographers would invent a story, but he would secretly sneak out in the back floors of cars/limos covered up with a blanket. IT WAS ALL A PUBLICITY STUNT. All LA insiders know the real deal on thisâ?¦. â?¦..Mayer and Aniston were 100% a fake. She has dated nobody since Pitt. It was all an act untilâ?¦â?¦â?¦â?¦
Leave JCM alone. If you give a sh*t about his love life, that means you don't have one of your own to worry about. In DC single guys date more women in a month than he dates in a year. GET OVER IT! Focus on the music.

He sounds like my 24 year old son,I thought he was in his thirties? His issue stems from his celebrity "NOT" this is something a young man NEEDs to know. A guy can't go around and sleep with a lot of women. Dating is ONE thing having sex is another.
I sort of agree with Me @10:28am. Don't think John has a low opinion of women so much as he just doesn't understand them. He goes for eye candy and wonders why he is bored. The guy needs a non-celeb with brains who isn't interested in being famous.
