John Stamos is mourning the death of his beloved mother Loretta Stamos, who passed away aged 75 on Monday, Sept. 22.
The grief-stricken actor, 51, paid tribute to his mom by sharing an adorable throwback picture of the two of them together, when John was a toothy toddler.
"Loretta Stamos – 1939-2014 The love of my life passed away yesterday in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren," the New Normal actor captioned the snap. "My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her," he continued.
"A few weeks ago, I asked my mom if she remembered an inconsequential event – she simply replied, 'I only remember the love.' #Brokenhearted #Iloveyouthemost," he added.
Stamos asked fans who felt so inclined to make a donation in her name to The Vanguard Cancer Foundation. Loretta set up the charity to help educate cancer sufferers about personalized cancer treatment, after her brother, Jake, survived a terminal diagnosis thanks to such an approach.
