Two weddings are better than one!

Days after Johnny Depp and Amber Heard officially tied the knot in a civil ceremony in L.A., the newlyeds celebrated their union again with a bigger bash at the actor's private island, Little Hall's Pond Cay, in the Bahamas.

The ceremony took place on Sunday in a small cove on a white sand beach. Only a small group of family and friends were in attendance, including Depp's two children, daughter Lily-Rose, 15, and son Jack, 12, and the actor’s Mortdecai co-star Paul Bettany. According to Us Weekly, guests "hung out on the beach, drank, played music, went snorkeling, and enjoyed the private affair."

The wedding venue has long been a safe haven for Depp. He bought the Bahamian hideaway, which is comprised of 45-acres of islands and is only accessible by boat or seaplane, in 2004. The beaches are named after his nearest and dearest, reportedly including one called "Amber's Cove." Transportation on the island consists of a fleet of golf carts, and the residences are solar-powered.

"Little Hall’s Pond is my decompression. It's my way of trying to return to normalcy," he told Vanity Fair in 2009. " I don't think I'd ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It's instant freedom. And that rare beast — simplicity — can be had. And a little morsel of anonymity.

Heard once mocked the location of her nuptials. "He mentioned, 'When I was on my island,' and I stopped him, touched his arm, and said, 'I have to bring up the absurdity of the statement you just said,'" she recalled to the Daily Beast in 2011. "And he said, 'I know, I know. But it's true!' And I said, 'Nonetheless, I should mention my obligation to point out how absurd it is that you can casually mention 'your island.'"

Depp met the Texan on the set of 2011's The Rum Diary, based on the novel written by his pal Hunter S. Thompson. Soon after, he ended his relationship with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis, with whom he shares his two children, and was first linked to Heard in 2012.

The duo announced they were betrothed in January 2014 and celebrated the event with a medieval-style engagement party at Carondelet House in Los Angeles in March. The splashy affair was attended by Marilyn Manson, Steven Tyler, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Heard wasn't the only one who started wearing a diamond engagement ring. Depp started sporting one as well — which he called "a chick's ring" — explaining that the first bauble he bought his lady love was too big. So he kept that one — estimated to be 5 carats and cost around $100,000 — and purchased her a second one.

Depp gushed over Heard, calling her "sharp as a tack" in an interview on the Today show last year. He didn't stop there, adding that she was "wonderful," a "southern belle," and "sweet as can be." Despite this, there were rumors that there was trouble for the pair in late 2014, but they seemed to work it out, putting on a united front at red carpet events in January.

This is the second marriage for Depp, who was hitched briefly in the '80s to Lori Allison (1983 to 1985). He also had a string of broken engagements to Sherilyn Fenn, whom he dated for three years following his divorce, Jennifer Grey (1989), and Winona Ryder (1989 to 1992). He also famously romanced Kate Moss (1994 to1998), then fell for Paradis later that year and was with her until 2012.

As for Heard, she has never married before but has openly discussed her bisexuality. She was in a relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree from 2008 to 2012, when she started seeing Depp.

A likely next step for the newlyweds? Kids. Depp recently said that he'd like 100 more little ones, so they better get cracking!
