Breaking News: Jon and Kate Gosselin's Divorce Finalized

Jon and Kate Gosselin's ten-year marriage is now history.
TMZ reports that Judge Arthur Tilson has signed the final divorce papers, severing marital ties between Jon, 32, and, Kate, 34.

On Wednesday an arbitrator ruled how the former spouses would divide their real estate and other assets. While most of those details remain confidential, Kate's attorney confirmed that the former reality mom "will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home" in Wernersville, Penn.

Kate noted, "I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children" and "restructuring our lives."

It won't be Jon's last time in court, however. Last Thursday Dec. 10, Jon was ordered by a Maryland judge to stop making media appearances. TLC claims the reality dad had been violating a contract with the network.

Why do people keep saying that Jon should go to jail? That's an awful thing to say! Jon does not belong in jail.The only illegal thing he did(as far as we know)was breach his contract.And he is not dangerous and unstable,otherwise Kate would have left him and taken the kids away from him a long time ago.Instead of giving him visitation, she would have had a restraining order against him by now if that was the case.But clearly that is not the case because Kate stayed married to him for 10 yrs,and after the divorce Jon got visitation with the kids.Plus he comes over to take care of the kids whenever Kate goes out of town for more public appearances.As far as the drug rumors,we don't have any proof that he's addicted to drugs. From the recent pictures I've seen of him,his eyes don't look bloodshot and he does not look like a zombie.So there is no real evidence to support the rumors.And just because he bought a gun doesn't make him crazy.A lot of people in this country own guns.It's a constitutional right.It's only when people use their guns to threaten, attack or otherwise do harm to someone that it becomes dangerous.For all we know,Jon was using his gun for target practice.We have not heard any reports about him shooting anyone, murdering his driver,or stashing four guns in the team lockerroom and holding his teammate at gunpoint like certain basketball players who will remain nameless.So it is unfair to call Jon crazy. His emotions have come to the surface much more since the separation and divorce (angry,unhappy,resentful,hurt),and he may have expressed them the wrong way,but he is not crazy.

I hope Jon gets put away permanently in a very secure nut house where he can never get near a gun or illegal drugs or Kate and the kids again. He is really dangerous and unstable and I pray that he never gets a chance to hurt her or any of those precious children!
I saw that episode too,and it looked to me like lots of people came to buy lemonade.But then the paparazzi showed up and that probably made some people shy away.I believe Jon was sincere about raising money for the fire station.He and Kate did charity work while they were married. There is footage of some of their charity work in past episodes.As for the paparazzi following Jon when he's with the kids,if you're going to get angry about that,then you should get equally upset about the paparazzi following Kate when she's with the kids.No one knows for sure that Jon cheated on Kate,and he has denied it the whole time.Just because there were photos circulating of him hanging out with different women doesn't mean he was involved with them.It's not like the Tiger Woods situation where there are 16 women saying that Tiger was involved with him( of course some of these women are probably lying to get his money).Only Jon and Kate know the truth.And the reason nobody is picking on the other three TLC families you mentioned is because their marriages and families are still intact.So there's nothing to pick on.The Duggars are a model family in my opinion.They take care of each other and help each other out like families are supposed to do.And with a family that large,the older kids have to help out.Kids need to learn the value of hard work,and see how hard it is to run a household.I was raised the old school way,and by the time I was in high school,I knew how to cook,do laundry,etc.The problem with parents today is that they're too easy on the kids,and don't think they should have to do anything.Then parents get mad when the kids move back home after college and they don't lift a finger to help, and don't pay any rent.And I have never seen Michelle tell off Jim Bob or put him down the way Kate did Jon during their marriage,and they have twice as many kids as the Gosselins.That's why I think the number of kids is no excuse.It's not fair to blame it on the kids because they didn't ask to be born.It was Kate's decision to do IVF a second time,and though Jon was reluctant at first,he eventually agreed to it.The Hayes family(Table for 12)seems to be doing alright too.And if by the "little people" you mean the Roloffs,Amy and Matt may have their ups and downs but they find a way to work it out.And they are still together,so they must be doing something right.As for Kate being a single mom,of course that is a tough job.My mother was a single mom as well.Kate is not the first single mom in the world and she won't be the last.I have no sympathy for Kate or Jon because they are the adults and they have control over whether things get better or worse for their family.Kate chose to be with Jon and have kids with him,so it's too late for buyer's remorse now.I only have sympathy for the kids because they are in the middle of all the chaos.
Why don't you all realize that Kate is still on the radar. You all would not be making comments if you did not follow the story. Without Jon, the ninth child bringing her down, she is doing well. What she must of had to put up with WHEN THE CAMERAS weren't rolling with that jerk. I watched and the shirt he had on the day he went to the firestation on the pretense of helping the firestation. No one showed up to buy lemonade and he wore a shirt that said LIES LIES LIES....and who's interest were on the agenda that day of filming??? I wish the public would give just as much attention to one of the other TLC families...THE DUGGERS, TABLE OF 12 OR THE LITTLE PEOPLE. They have their kids on camera, they take money from TLC. They Duggers had TLC finish their house and now have that huge bus to take them places, but no one comments because they are always touting how they don't live with debt. And how about how the older children are the parents to all the other little ones....guess that is okay....Kate is doing her best as a single mom so go pick at one of the other families for a while....THEY HAVE THEIR KIDS ON CAMERA TOO PEOPLE.... I guess that is OKAY THOUGH. Kate has shown class and dignity throughout this divorce and divorce throughly is awful and painful and all you can do is criticize? Jon is getting exactly what he finally deserves for cheating on his spouse..plain and simple. So, go pick at someone else and let the woman be for Pete's sake.
Well D=DUMB, I do happen to be a Mother - as it appears you are also - only in a different sense. Read PA law. Kate did not "win" - Jon did not "lose" - and anyone who thinks for one minute that this is over is sadly mistaken. From one who has been there, as, let's say...a neutral party...this is only just the beginning of court appointed parenting coordinators, court appointed mental health experts, custody hearings, contempt hearings, etc.
Jon does not belong in jail,and I would never wish that on him.It's bad enough that his kids don't get to see him 24/7 anymore because of the divorce.Now they only see him when he has his visitation time and when Kate is out of town.They already miss Jon so much as it is.If he were locked up,it would be devastating to the kids.Jon belongs with his kids,and they need him there. Luckily,he got to spend Christmas with them.What he and Kate need to do is sit the kids down,look them in the eye and apologize to them for what happened this year,and for the way they sometimes acted toward each other in front of the kids during the marriage.And they need to make a promise to the kids that they will be better parents to them and set a better example of how to treat each other,married or not.Maybe they've already done that,but if not,they should. And Jon needs to stand his ground and make sure the kids never appear on tv again.The kids are at the age where socializing is becoming increasingly important,and with the cameras gone,they will be able to have more normal inter action with other kids their own age.Not that they don't have friends.But when the show was still on,their friends never came over to play.The only time the kids' friends were around is at their birthday parties.Now that the cameras are not there,all their little classmates will be able to visit more often because the parents will feel more comfortable sending their kids to the Gosselins' house,knowing they will not be filming anymore. Besides,when the Gosselin kids become teens, they won't even want to be around their parents, much less having cameras in their face following them all around the house every day.
IT IS AMAZING THAT JON GOSELIN IS NOT IN JAIL YET. THAT IMBECILE DOES WHATEVER HE WANTS AND THINKS HE CAN? I CANT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY HE IS SITTING IN A JAIL CELL WHERE HE BELONGS.

I'm so glad Jon is gone I wish they would bring back Kate Plus eight I miss the kids and I love the way Kate talk about them and took them places and the different things she taught them in life when on vacations.. It was all Kate yeah Jon was there to help but his childish ways was anoying imagine having to put up with that man/child poor Kate now that she has gotten rid of the rotton child ... Life should get better for her and easier now that the kids are older... The one good thing about Jon is he stuck in there through the early years and heloed changed diaphers ... woooohooo I remember that was always a big help and givng the kids a bath and those once in a while mommy gets to sleep in days.... GeeGee -- on what planet should Kate find a man stupid enough to want to take on 8 screaming, spoiled, entitled brats? And, then there is Kate. All of her bad points have been aired in public. No sane man would ever want her.
The divorce settlement was UNFAIR. All of the assets should have been put in a pot, luxury cars and houses should have been sold and added to the cash. One moderate house like their old one should have been purchased and then the rest of the cash should have been divided between the 8 children and put in trust. After all the 8 kids earned it not Jon and Kate. W/O the kids there would have been no show, no one would have known them and K wouldn't have had to books to sell or speaking engagements. Each parent should have to get a job and share the financial responsibility of the kids. The kids should not be made to support KATE!
The only way you will stop Kate (the Phoenix) from rising from the ashes with a new show is to go to TLC site and register your feelings about Kate. Tell them you won't watch a show and that you will boycott all the sponsors. With great numbers, you can stop Kate dead in her track.

According to TMZ, Gosselin "celebrated" the end of his most-profitable marriage to Kate by attempting to trade in his 2005 vehicle, likely because he's rumored to be saddled with some whopping child support payments with absolutely no means to pay it. Why, you ask? Because he attempted to play hardball with a major network -- and now he'll be lucky to land a job at McDonald's. Since a judge has ruled he can no longer make money off of selling his sordid stories, the 32-year-old has fallen on hard times. An employee of Auto Exchange USA in Pennsylvania told TMZ that Jon Boy was angling to trade in his M3 for a more economical 2008 Subaru STI plus turn a profit in the deal. In addition to wanting the newer model car, he wanted $4,000 cash. We're guessing that's to pay the rent on his pricey Manhattan apartment that he likely won't be able to afford soon. After finding out his car wasn't worth what he thought, he left empty-handed. All we have to say to Jon is -- you reap what you sow, dude. Maybe he can convince Kate to hire him as a groundskeeper on the $1.2 million house they used to share -- that's about as close to luxury living as this tool is going to get. Maybe he should head on down to the local consignment shop and see what he can score for some of those Ed Hardy duds.
