Jon Gosselin and TLC Settle Lawsuits

TLC and Jon Gosselin have come to terms in their lawsuits against one another.
"TLC has reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin," TLC says in a statement to UsMagazine.com. The network adds that the terms are "confidential."

Late last year, the cable network sued the reality dad, 32, for breach of contract. At issue were Gosselin's paid interviews and public appearances, which TLC said violated Gosselin's contract and garnered bad publicity. A judge sided with the network, and forbade Gosselin from making any unauthorized public appearances.

Gosselin subsequently countersued the network for $5 million, claiming TLC damaged his reputation.

TLC's Wednesday statement adds that "The whole Gosselin family remain under contract with TLC."

Gosselin's ex-wife Kate will debut her as-yet-untitled TLC series sometime later this year; the program will reportedly not focus on the couple's eight kids.

328I've watched every single episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. Jon was the main care giver of those 8 kids. No mater what he did, kate found fault with it and would nag him. You can call him a lot of things but he tried to be a good father. But even a loyal dog will get tired of abusive treatment.

I'm not taking sides against Jon or Kate either.I'm on the children's side.Fathers are too often treated like disposable parts,and that's so unfair. As long as the father is not dangerous or abusive, he should not be demonized or alienated in any way.Now that a therapist is involved with the Gosselins as of last month,I'm sure things will improve.Based on his/her findings after talking to and observing the children,the therapist will tell Jon and Kate what changes need to be made,and what they need to do to create a more peaceful, stable environment for their kids to grow up in.
My thought is I'm not going to diss either side of the family and pray for the kids. Children will always love bother of their parents and it is crazy to say they are going to hate their father. None of us know how close they are, and for everyone to judge is just crazy. I pray that these children will always love both their Mom and Dad as they only have 1 of each in their life. They are reality TV and imagine how many people in the real world go through the same thing and if we wished all this bad stuff on all the "dads" out there these children would grow up in such a bad place.. To Jon and Kate keep raising your sweet children to the best you can and they will grow up with thier heads held high!!!
