Jon Gosselin: "I'm Not the Bad Guy"

Jon Gosselin insists he still provides for his eight children -- despite estranged wife Kate's claims that he left the family with bills after withdrawing $230,000 from a joint bank account.
"I pay $7,500 per month for the kids, utilities, two mortgages and everything else that needs to be paid," the father of eight, 32, tells Entertainment Tonight in a new interview.
"I'm not the bad guy here," Jon adds, explaining that it was his decision to put the kibosh on production of Kate Plus Eight because it was hurting the kids.

"I'm protecting my children," Jon tells ET. "I need to pull them off television so we could work this out."

Despite blasting her in interviews on The Insider and ET, Jon says he wants to end the feud with Kate, 34.
"If you fix the relationship, everything else will come," he says. "You won't have to worry about everything else."

He says he knows he "made mistakes. I apologize to Kate .. I've already apologized to my kids. It's been blown out of proportion."

276I think the most important issue is the Children and for them to have an intact family. Jon is right in wanting pull the plug on the show and attempt to put his family and marriage back together, and that is not something that can be done when you have a camera crew following you around. I heart goes out to this family and for the sake of the children I hope they can put what has happened behind them,get counseling and hopefully put their family back together...they both obviously love their children, because their children show it. They don;t need to rip each other a part in public, and neither should anyone else...they need to work this out in private, and I hope they can. People can second guess the timing of it, but the fact remains, it is the right choice.

To all of the commenting spectators: No doubt Jon was a spaz before and after the separation went public - new freedom plus money tends to rot the brain of the weak-willed. No doubt Kate was a beast all along - she proved it during the years of the show so there can be little doubt that the off camera persona was much worse. Bottom line: both should be ashamed to speak in the media - as co-parents they both should have the common decency of keeping their emotional outbursts toward each other for the couch of non tabloid blurting friends or family. That would be one way to "not damage the children." OMT - let's be real: Kate has money and Jon has money from books, appearances, etc. The kids have untouchable money in trust. Why on earth would she come up with such an obvious lie - I mean, does she think the average American cannot count?
Kate is no better than Jon. She has just been spending lots of time doing image repair. Before, everyone harped on how bad she treated Jon and the kids. Now he's off the leash and has gone haywire. Let's be real. These kids are a commodity and nothing more. They should be removed from the custody of both parents and placed in a loving home and given a normal life. They are obviously developing behavioral issues that are going to continue to escalate because of the ineptitude of their parents. I've have never watched the show and never will. Unfortunately I have been deluged with news daily about this trainwreck. Anyone who watches this show or buys magazines that feature articles about this family should be ashamed of themselves. You are just enabling them to keep the train rolling. Yes, the show has helped them to support their kids, but no one told them to have that many. I've seen many articles about Kate viewing the children as a possible commodity even when she was still pregnant with them.
Jon still provides for his kids? How exactly? He is not being paid for all of these interviews. He has asked for exorbitant fees, but has received nothing, which is what he is worth. He thinks he is all in demand and no one will touch him. The children's clothing line he is going to do? Yeah, I'll believe it when it hits the stores. He is doing some serious wishful thinking. Now that he has deep-sixed the show, they are all truly screwed. So, which parent is going to get a real job? Kate claims she will work in McDonald's to take care of her kids. Again, I'll believe it when I see it. I really would like to see them both pay for that nice big house while working at McDonald's. Although it wasn't obviously done out of any sense of concern for the children, I'm still glad Jon put a stop to the show. These kids need as normal a life as they can get with those parents.
Jon is a flagrant liar in claiming that 7 of his 8 children "don't care" when he told them of the divorce. Being a child of divorce and later having to raise my own child divorced, I am telling you that he is a liar. Jon Gosselin is a sociopath. He systematically plows over his children - - affairs betraying the mother of his children, trashing her in the media, stealing money from the joint account (she pays the bills, not Jon), slapping her across the face by telling the entire world he loves his disordered girlfriend more than he loved his wife and children's mother (that should have been kept private at all costs, Jon), takes the beloved pets away from the children (as if they haven't been hurt and disrupted enough, which is what divorce DOES, Jon). I really hate this man.
Let's see..."if you fix the relationship..." - - - Jon wants it both ways. He wants to play in his own poop, decimate Kate to any media outlet that will stand still long enough to listen, play around with other women on the side while married - AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME - improve and heal his relationship with the very person he is systematically trying to destroy. If he was really concerned for his children he wouldn't be acting like a spoiled brat. He was fired from TLC, so now he doesn't want his kids on the show. Oh I see, I can't be on the show so you can't be on the show! Real mature!
There is no way in hell it is only costing $7500 a month for two mortgages, utilities, kids, and so on. His own little bachelor pad is in Manhattan, right? I am not naive. This man is out to get Kate, and I think it is time for the courts to step in to put a stop to all of this bullshit. I fear for her safety and that of the children. He obviously hates her, and has changed so much this past year that it is frightening. He acts like he can do whatever he wants because he was able to temporarily stop production of their show. He is dangerously arrogant right now.

He only cares now that his name is no longer on the show. He is taking away the only source of income how can that be better for the kids? I agree that it should be ended soon so the children can have some sort of normal life but somebody needs to get a JOB. I'm thinking that will be Kate and then we will have to listen to Jon whine about that as long as people keep buying magazines and watching TV shows that he is on.
For all you morons that say "kate is in it for the money"....dont act like you wouldnt go buy a nice big house or nicer clothes, etc if you suddenly got rich. and who said "reality people think they deserve a good life?" This is a person that is sooooo worried about his children being hurt that he wants to end production of the show...why wasnt he worried about his children being hurt when he left them and their mother and showed up in the news and magazines a few weeks later with another woman?, why wasnt he worried about his children being hurt when he went on national television and made the statement hecant stand there the mopther of his children?, or how about this..that he loves his new girlfriend more then he ever loved Kate, the mother of his children, he foesnt want to hurt his children but he's shown all over the magazines and television parting smoking, drinking, and pictures up the you know what surrounded by woman in bikini's, hey Jon thats not going to hurt you children?. The simple fact is this man (if you want to call him that)went to work everyday while his wife stayed home with 8 children taking care of them, and the house minus the minimal help she did get from neighbors so yes as a mother I can see why she was snippy with him just because you have a job outside the house doesnt mean you dont have to get off your butt and do something around the house and with your kids besides pass them a diner plate across the counter. The minute major money came into affect the trap that he felt he was in was gone, he had an out to dump his wife and his children so he can go party, buy sports cars, designer clothes and sunglasses, go out smokin and drinking, and show up in every magazine with woman hanging all over him and talking trash about the mother of his children that he sooo worried about not hurt, he was dumped from the show which stops his pay check so now he's worried about his children being hurt..the only thing he's worried about is the big fat pay check that wont be in his pocket anymore, but kate would still have one coming in and he wouldnt have access to it because why?...thats right you dumped your wife so now you show up using your children as an excuse as to why you want production stopped, no...you just want to try and bring Kate down to no pay check also and your using your children as your excuse.
Apparently this blog is commented on by mostly women who in fact act out of emotional rather than fact. There were TWO accounts set up in the original arbitration. One for the "bills" and one for other things... Why would Kate go on television claiming she can not pay her bills from an account that was not set up for "bills"? and, if that account is what she planned on using... where is the other money? In addition, Kate has "substantial" accounts other than these. Both are doing what their lawyers are telling them to do. Kate... putting all the money in the kids names so Jon can not get any of it (money grubbing B.... that she is) and Jon trying to get his "half" as required by law before she can hide the rest of it. PLEASE get them both of the air!
