Well, that was quick! In a 2010 clip from Judge Judy that went viral this week, one young man forgot the first — and most important — rule when standing before a judge: Think before you speak.
The hilarious video shows Judge Judith Sheindlin at her bench asking the plaintiff in a purse-snatching case to describe what items she lost.
“My wallet — it was 50 bucks,” the woman says, adding that she had to replace all her IDs. “I had gift cards in there. My earpiece, and a calculator.”
One of the two defendants, unprompted, then tells Judge Judy, “There was no earpiece in there, ma’am,” at which point the popular TV judge begins to laugh.
“I love it. I love it,” she says between chuckles, calling the defendants “dumb and dumber” before ruling in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $500.
The entire exchange took place in less than 26 seconds.
