It’s war! Just when fans thought Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s Instagram battle couldn’t get any uglier, the “Sorry” singer reportedly accused his ex-girlfriend of cheating on him with Zayn Malik.
As Us Weekly previously reported, things first started getting sticky when Bieber, 22, threatened to make his Instagram account private over the weekend after fans attacked his rumored new girlfriend, Sofia Richie. Gomez, 24, threw some shade in the comments and, moments later, reportedly accused her ex of cheating on her during their tumultuous relationship.
“Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” the “Kill Em With Kindness” singer commented on Bieber’s post, according to observant fans. (Screenshots of the messages, naturally, made rounds online as the hashtag #SelenaEndedJustinParty started trending.)
Now, Bieber is accusing Gomez of cheating on him with Malik, 23, according to a second round of viral screenshots.
“I cheated.. oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” the “Love Yourself” crooner reportedly shot back at his ex.
Although it is unclear whether the Instagram feud did, in fact, happen, Gomez notably joked about dating the former One Direction singer — who is currently in a relationship with model Gigi Hadid — earlier this year.
“If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him,” the Disney alum told InStyle UK in January. “Just kidding, but not kidding.”
As fans know, Gomez’s BFF, Taylor Swift, famously dated Malik’s former bandmate Harry Styles in late 2012.
In June, Bieber started following Gomez on Instagram for the first time since they ended their on-again, off-again relationship in November 2014.
