Kristen Stewart: I Don't Want to Be Angelina Jolie

Although she's the female lead in the Twilight franchise (last year, the first film grossed nearly $400 million worldwide), Kristen Stewart doesn't emulate other blockbuster actresses -- not even Brad Pitt's girl.
"I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie," Stewart tells BlackBook magazine.
But seeing her name in lights is sort of fun, right?

"Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable," the 19 year-old insists. "I'm an actor. It's bizarre to me that everybody's so obsessive."
One topic of obsession: her relationship with onscreen lover Robert Pattinson, 23. Pattinson recently told Vanity Fair that, despite intense speculation otherwise, they are simply "good friends," and that he considers her "the best young actress around."

But Stewart made a thoughtful observation about Edward Cullen, Pattinson's Twilight character.
"Edward is actually a really good parallel to fame," she muses. "As a vampire, he has a sad, desolate life -- fame is the same."

To compare yourself to a gorgeous and beautiful star like Angelina is shameful, because SHE'S the beautiful one and you're NOT. It doesn't really matter anyway, because you're never going to be as talented or as famous as her anyway. At least she CAN act, unlike you. You ruined Twilight for me and my friends. Good for Kristen! Hopefully, she means that she wants to be known for her acting ability and not for how many kids she has or how many tatoos she has. Maybe, she'd like to be able to keep her own identity and self respect instead of relying on someone else's to prop her up with, such as Brangelina! She's very talented and doesn't need to rely on anything or anyone else. Way to be!

After the twilight movie she will not beg to be noticed because before it she didn't! you know what shes an amazing actress maybe not in twilight but in films like speak and into the wild she is.
I hate her and I think she made the first Twilight movie suck. She is not an "actress" to me, because she can not act. Throughout the whole movie her voice nor face showed any inflection from emotion. Then to top it off everytime she's on TV or in a magazine she has a snotty look on her face, and this whole "I'm too cool for school" attitude. After the Twilight movies she's going to fade into oblivion and then will have to beg for anyone to notice her.

To "CJ", quote "these are the things she says she doesn't appreciate". Like Kristen actually APPRECIATES ANYTHING! NEVER, NEVER have I heard her say that she was grateful for the movie or ANYTHING! I understand that no one would realize that Twilight would explode like this. But doesn't she get ANYTHING about LIFE! Please, at least she doesn't have to worry about bills or issues. Having lived and worked in the entertainment business for years, including working with many young stars, I absolutely concur. Film acting is one of the most misunderstood professions in the world. For people to think the girl is whiney for not desiring something so many people want - it's obvious she knows something they don't. The business isn't anything like people think it is, and fame is a real cage and nightmare for a lot of people. It's not going to meet people's expectations at all. It's a grea thing this girl is focused on being an actor, not a celebrity. I laugh at the people who think there's something wrong with that. Thank GOD she's focused on her job and not the hype that goes along with it, isn't that a good thing?
