Leave it to Pooh and Piglet to get the message across. A newly single Kaley Cuoco thanked her fans for their support, using a sweet quote about gratitude from Winnie the Pooh following her split from husband Ryan Sweeting last month.
“I’m feeling completely overwhelmed with the outpouring of kindness and support from the people that surround me and from those I have never even met,” Cuoco, 29, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 21. “I want you to know, I read all your comments and your sweet words have touched me deeply.”
Accompanying the Big Bang Theory star’s post was an illustration of Winnie the Pooh and his best friend, Piglet, including the sweet words: “Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.”
Thankfulness is exactly what Cuoco conveyed in her concluding thoughts. “I’m incredibly grateful for all your love as I start this next chapter in my life,” the actress shared with fans.
Cuoco announced on Sept. 25 that she and Sweeting, 28, were splitting after 21 months of marriage. “Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage,” a statement to Us Weekly read. “They ask for privacy at this time.”
Three days later, Us confirmed that TV’s highest-paid actress had already filed for divorce in early September, citing irreconcilable differences. Though the pair had a prenuptial agreement, Sweeting subsequently filed a request for spousal support on Thursday, Oct. 15.
“She supported him,” a source previously told Us of the actress. “But she said he couldn’t make the commitment to get sober. He’d tell her he was working on it, and instead go get wasted.”
Meanwhile, a second source claimed to Us that Cuoco had “a lot of insecurities” while in the relationship with the tennis pro.
Since then, she’s been spending quality time with her family members. The star’s sister, Briana, posted a pic with Kaley and their mom on Tuesday, Oct. 20. “Like mother like daughters,” she captioned the snap.
