Atlanta Housewife Kandi "Devastated" Over Ex-Fiance's Death

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is speaking out after the beating death of Ashley Jewell, her ex-fiance:
"I am devastated by the loss of AJ. His death comes on the heels of the death of my beloved Uncle Ralph and with both of them gone, my heart is heavy with grief," she tells Usmagazine.com in a statement.
"I had spoken to AJ two hours before I got the call that he was in the hospital. Never in a thousand years did I think it was going to be the last time I heard his voice. He was taken way too soon. There are so many things that I should have said to him, wanted to say to him... But now it's too late.

"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of my family and friends -- and that means my Twitter and Facebook friends as well -- for the beautiful words of encouragement, prayers, and the sweet condolences. I make it through these difficult days because of you. I know this is cliche, but I urge everyone to treat each day as if it's your last and tell that special someone you love them today. Don't wait. It may be too late.

"Please pray for his children, his family and Riley - they too are grieving the loss of an incredible man, son, brother and father," her statement concluded. "I wish you all had gotten to know the AJ we all knew and loved."

you know, why is she devastated? she broke up with him for a reason...and why do they call it HOUSEWIVES??? most of these women are NOT married.....get over it already...and I do offer my sympathies, such a shame to lose a young person regardless of situations
my deepest sympathy, trust in the lord and know God had a bigger plan for A.J., and most of all God never puts more on u that u can bare, TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD.

i am so sorry for your loss and may God give you strength through your darkest days and allow AJ's love & light to carry you through. A special prayer and blessing fot his children and family members. This was senseless and now his kids will have to grow up without a father. Kandi...know that through Him all things are possible and he gives us no more than what we can bear. I have breast cancer...lost a 17 yr old son in a car accident and I'm making it. Prayers and love coming your way.

So what how many kids/baby mama's he had. He didn't deserve to be killed. hell my brother has 6 kids/4 baby mama's too but I love his pro creating ass dearly and would be devestated if we lost him. That is six kids growing up without a father no matter what his faults were. People grow the f up.

The dude did not deserve to die but all indicators are that he was an utter and complete dirt bag playa. 6 kids by four different baby mama's and hanging at strip clubs. Sounds to me like when you fish in shark infested waters you just might catch the one that eats your azz.

7:12pm, you must have no clue what you are talking about. Have you ever even seen the show?? First of all, Kandi was plenty rich and plenty famous before she even signed on to do the show, and second, she seems like the nicest sweetest one of them all!! She in no way has inappropriate behavior...and did you even read the article?! Obviously "these two" can't make the changes that you suggested, because he was just killed in a really terrible way! Have a heart and a clue before you open your mouth.

I feel bad for everybody thats involved in this man life most of all i feel bad for the kids and kandi cause thats who he lived his life with was those guys and when your use to seeing someone everyday and then they'er just gone the very same day it crushes your heart but god does everything for a reason and we will never know because you cant question him but just be stronge and wise for yourself and others and you will see the light again one day
