Poor Aaron.
Karina Smirnoff says that her former Dancing with the Stars partner Aaron Carter is "doing great" as he deals with a tax evasion mess.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Carter, 21, owes the IRS more than $1 million in back taxes.
"He's dealing with it as maturely and professionally as he can," Smirnoff told Usmagazine.com at Wednesday's Launch of the Behold II by Samsung event at Hollywood's Boulevard 3.
Smirnoff thinks Carter is getting a bad rap. "I don't see why he can be held responsible," she said. "He was a baby when all that [tax evasion] happened."

"But," the dancer admitted, "I'm not IRS and I guess that's the reason why I'm not. But, he's a great guy. I think he's doing an amazing job. Very proud of him!"
According to court documents, Carter owes more than $965,000 from 2003 alone. An additional $45,350.11 is also owed from income earned in 2006.

His manager Johnny Wright told Entertainment Tonight Wednesday, "It is unfortunate that while Aaron was a minor, his finances were grossly mismanaged by his previous team which has lead to the current situation of which he was unaware of until today."

Tell Us What You Think
6i am new fan of his the guy is a good singer and dancer. i think he didn't know about the taxes he owed the irs, just leave him alone. he is still young and learning in life. watch him come out on top, and show the world how truly talented he is. all i can say is you go boy!!! luv ya big jennifer.
I think "hh" is being very rude, its not his fault he was a minor in 2003 to 2006. Its those stupid drug/alcohol/physical abusive parents of his' fault. He doesn't deserve to go to jail he did nothing wrong, his parents and management did. Would you expect your 14 year old to understand what taxes should be paid on what you make and when its due and so on? I don't think so.
His parents are responsible. He was 15 in 2003 when that money was owed. His parents if they were decent and taking care of their kid, were supposed to be overseeing his finances and have an accountant or lawyer or something! I bet the parents sure helped SPEND his money, but have screwed him over otherwise, obviously. Poor guy. Shows you can't trust or depend on your parents to help you, at least his.
lol...send his a** to jail...he will cry alot when he becomes Bubba's new "dance partner" glad he and Karina got voted off...
You mean he's not crying anymore???
