A rep for the L.A. Fire department confirms to UsMagazine.com that fire fighters arrived on the scene at 11:23 p.m. Sunday night.

"Fire fighters encountered heavy fire with extreme smoke but they were able to get a knock down on the fire," Captain Ruda tells Us. "There was no one home."

"My house burned down last night with my cat inside," Von D, who has been dating Jesse James since August, explained early Monday morning. "Finally get to sleep away the remainder of today. Hope tomorrow is gentler."

Von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) then tweeted a photo of herself surrounding by the charred remains of her home.

Funny...they never say what caused the fire? Probably a cigarette no less. Hopefully it wasn't a cig and it was electrical. What a shame her kitty had to die.

That sucks. I lost everything once, (not my cat thank goodness), in a flood. I have many different types of pets now and would be heartbroken if one of them died like that. I saw Valentine on her show, it really looked like it loved her. Imagine loosing family photos and other irreplaceable items, a shame. And to Natasha Moore: We are all striving for "World Peace" right? Pay the toll for the stranger behind you one day just for the hell of it. Pay it forward and give the hatred a rest.

She looks creepy. Trying to hide all those nasty tattoos. I feel sorry for her and especially for losing her kitty.

Why would you tweet a picture of you standing in your burned down house?

That is terrible. I cannot imagine how hard this is for Kat. And to lose a cherished pet in the blaze is unthinkable. My thoughts & prayers are with Kat as she rebuilds her life!
