Kate Gosselin Struggles to Plan 10th Birthday Party for Demanding Sextuplets in TLC Special

A real-life circus! Kate Gosselin treated her sextuplets to a carnival-themed 10th birthday party on May 10, and the craziness was captured by TLC for the family’s upcoming two-part TV special—and planning the fete was evidently no easy task.

To appease sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, the mom of eight tells the camera: “It’s very hard to find a theme that six kids are all excited about.”

When Gosselin, who first introduced her brood (alongside now-ex-husband Jon Gosselin) on TLC’s reality show Jon & Kate: Plus Eight, proposes the idea of having a “huge, real life-size grown-up carnival,” all six of her youngest chime in with their own opinions.

While one whines, “We’ve already done that before,” Leah adds, “Why can’t we rollerblade?”

The 39-year-old mom’s 10-year-old daughters were quick to mock their mom, telling the camera, “At the end [of big events like this] she is like, ‘I’m so tired. I don’t want to do any of this.'”

The reality star doesn’t get any support from 13-year-old twins Cara and Maddy either.

“This isn’t my birthday, so I don’t care,” Maddy snipes. “This is stupid. I don’t want to be a part of this.”

When asked by producers if the twins think the little kids look up to them, the moody 13-year-old said: “No. They better not. I’m an awful role model,” adding, “Have you seen me? I just sit in my bed all day.”
