Starting 34 off with a bang! Kate Middleton spent her birthday, January 9, hunting at Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
Though the mom of George, 2, and Charlotte, 8 months, rarely goes shooting, “she knows how to do it,” explains a source close to the Duchess, who was joined by husband Prince William, parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and siblings Pippa and James.
“William’s very much a fan of the sport, so they’ve done it together in the past and enjoyed it with friends,” adds the insider. “Kate bagged a bird!
The following day, as Us Weekly previously reported, Kate, 33-year-old William and her family attended a morning service at the St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Afterwards, the Duchess — dressed in a black turtleneck, tweed blazer and a skirt by Michael Kors — and the Duke of Cambridge attended a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign during World War I.
A source told Us that the birthday girl wanted "a low-key celebration," adding, “Kate doesn’t like to make a fuss.”
