Kathy Griffin isn’t one to mince words, but on an upcoming episode of her eponymous talk show, she let her legs do all the talking. The outspoken comedienne flaunted her toned right leg in a loose-fitting black “gown” as part of her show in a clear knock at Jennifer Lopez‘s memorable Grammy look.
In the funny photo, Griffin, 52, puckers her lips in a nod to the singer’s signature smoldering look and places her left hand on her hip in a red carpet-ready pose.
In the next photo, however, Griffin is stripped down to her underwear as her “glam squad” tries to give her a quick-change — with the cameras still rolling.
At the Grammys earlier this month, Lopez, 43, turned heads when she strode on-stage in a sexy black Anthony Zacarello gown that featured a slit cut up to her hip.
“They didn’t say anything about leg!” Lopez protested to E! News host Ryan Seacrest when he pointed out that her risque outfit violated CBS’ style guidelines. “I thought I was being such a good girl — [just] a little shoulder and a little leg.”
Lopez famously made headlines in 2000 when she showed up on the red carpet in a barely there green Versace gown that was cut down to her navel and cut up to her hip.
“Mami, you inspired the memo,” her fellow presenter Pitbull joked when Lopez’s appearance onstage was received with whistles and cheers.
Griffin’s talk show Kathy airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
