Katie Holmes: Tom Cruise Critiques the Way I Dress

Katie Holmes doesn't need to worry about the Fashion Police.
She has husband Tom Cruise.
In the November issue of Elle, the actress, 30, says Cruise, 47, often critiques her clothes.
"He usually likes everything, but sometimes I'll walk out and he'll say, 'I think that dress might be wearing you. You don't need that,'" she says.

She appreciates the feedback.
"Tom has great taste," Holmes gushes.

When it comes to her own style, Holmes says she loves the designer "Alaia, for sure. Stella McCartney. I like Ralph Lauren because I feel like it's very American, and I'm pretty all-American, from Ohio. Isabel Marant and a new designer, Sari Gueron."
Holmes - mother to daughter Suri, 3 - also opens up about juggling work with family.

"In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family," says the actress, who recently filmed the thriller, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. "I do what I need to do, but it's like, 'How is everybody else doing?' And it's wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character."

75I see 2 different personality of Tom Cruise.1 is when he feels so cool around the paparazi and the other side of him.Is when he talks about Scientology,he looks so scary with that frown when he has talk about Scientology.He looks so weird and freaky.I think he has been abducted by aliens. Katie went to quick falling for this guy.He has really got me going to hide under my bed incase he throws a punch on my face.They are still learning about each other about their wedding relationship because they clicked to quick. My relationship with husband before we got married,it was kind a very messy and we made an effort to respect each other's needs. You patch up alot of the arguments and I haven't had a argument for a long time because we learn from each others problems.I have learn how important to make each other happy.

why don't you use the sense that GOD gave you and pick out your own clothes and I know the millions tom cruise gives you are great but is it worth giving up your total identity your parents must be heart broken!!!! wise up take your child and escape while she has a chance to be a normal free thinking person!

True, she obviously let him do that, but she was engaged to someone else, and was young and vulnerable (24?) at the time, when he swooped in & plucked her from basic obscurity... She is fame & money-hungry & flies in high circles now, so she must think being his Stepford Wife is worth the trade-off... Too bad Suri is so spoiled, though... Poor Katie,she was probed and now she has no say in what goes on in her life.That is the price you pay when you marry the short so-so actor and have his child.You should have stayed a sweet normal girl and married the guy you were with for 5 years instead of marrying the guy you only knew for 3 months, see what money and fame does to you.
Katie gets her attention only because of Tom. I don't like him but he obviously thinks he has the power to rule. She has no talent. Nicole is MUCH better off with her husband Keith. What a cutie he is and they are happy! I like Nicole now since she is without Tom.

I say Katie Holmes is one smart cookie. LOOK AT THE EYES. She is running it, not Mr. Cruise, but she lets him get all the criticism, so when she decides she's got all the money she will need to survive and fame, she will walk and Tom will catch all the heat. All she does is give the Diana, Princess of Wales side ways look and les Americ beat up on her man. She's a shrewd one that one...but of course she is...her father is a LAWYER....get a clue America! Tom has put himself for the first time in his life in a very vulnerable position with this one. Sit back and watch the circus but closely. It will happen as I've stated.
