Katy Perry called John Mayer her "incredible, inspiring boyfriend" in a tweet on Monday, Aug. 19.

We've already heard her roar, and now we can hear Katy Perry coo too. The pop singer took to Twitter on Monday, Aug. 19, to gush about her beau, John Mayer, and his new album, Paradise Valley.

"Something VERY special is happening at midnight EST tonight on iTunes!" she shared with fans via Twitter. "My incredible, inspiring boyfriend John Mayer will release a spectacular record called Paradise Valley check it out here."

After much secrecy, Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, have been way less tight-lipped about their relationship as of late, following the debut of their first-ever duet, "Who You Love," just one week earlier.

"When you first read the reports about [the duet], you'll think that it's a gimmick … I love a good challenge and that's certainly one," he said in a recent interview with Billboard magazine. "But the hope is you hear it once because of the curiosity and then you go, 'Wow, I really like that. I could find a place for hearing that a lot more.'"

"It's a really fun opportunity for her to write, like, her answer to that," he continued of the candid lyrics. "So, you get these two sides to this relationship that are brutally honest.

On the track, the musical pair confess their feelings for one another in a call-and-response collaboration.

"My girl, she ain't the one I saw coming and sometimes I don't know which way to go and I tried to run before, but I'm not running anymore," Mayer sings on the track, to which Perry responds, "My boy, he ain't the one that I saw coming, and some have said his heart's too hard to hold. And he takes a little time but you should see him when he shines."

The on-again, off-again pair began dating shortly after Perry finalized her divorce from ex Russell Brand in February 2012, but the musical duo decided to call off their relationship in March 2013, only to reconcile two months later.

"He pulled away. That was a big hello for me," Perry confessed in the September issue of ELLE UK. "I realized I could lose the person I loved and I had to deal with some things, issues I think a lot of women have. You can be strong in one aspect of your life but submissive in another."
