Work! Keke Palmer looked fierce when she dressed up as Aaliyah to celebrate Halloween.
The Scream Queens star, 22, paid tribute to the late singer by recreating her iconic look from her 2000 “Try Again” music video. Palmer also posted a short clip of herself doing the video’s original choreography with two backup dancers on Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 1.
“Here’s a ‘treat’ .. Do you know who I am?” the actress wrote. “Happy Halloween.”
The Scream Queens wardrobe department created the low-cut white bra and tight black pants for Palmer’s gorgeous costume, while celeb makeup artist Renny Vasquez and hairstylist Cynthia Alvarez perfected the rest of the look.
Aaliyah filmed the original “Try Again” music video in March 2000. The video later won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video. Tragically, the R&B singer died in a plane crash in the Bahamas in August 2001. She was 22, the same age Palmer is now.
In addition to working on Scream Queens, Palmer is putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album. The first single, “I Don’t Belong to You,” was released last week.
