Kelly Clarkson Gives Birth to a Baby Girl

It's a girl for Kelly Clarkson!

The "Stronger" singer and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, welcomed their first child, River Rose Blackstock, together on June 12.

Clarkson tweeted the happy news on Saturday morning:

But Clarkson, 32, didn't exactly have a smooth pregnancy.

"I vomit a good dozen times a day," the singer told Ellen DeGeneres in December. "It's, like, so gross. And that's the thing too, you're not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow, and your hair is pretty, and your nails are pretty. That is total crap … I have no glow. Unless it's, like, something left over from a bad throw up. It's horrible."

In January, the first "American Idol" winner revealed she was having a girl.

Kelly and Brandon tied the knot in October 2013 and announced they were expecting a child together a month later. While this is the singer's first baby, her talent manager husband has two kids — Savannah and Seth — from a previous marriage.

"I have a 12-year-old and a 6-year-old now . . . after being single for six years!" Clarkson told Ryan Seacrest in August. "We all live together and everything. It's so different, but it's perfect. They're awesome and I actually really dig the mom thing … I am quick to go, 'I told you not to touch that!' I am totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom."

Practice makes perfect!
