Kendall Jenner penned a gushing post on her website about decorating her new house on Thursday, July 21. The model, who recently purchased a $6.5 million home in Los Angeles from actress Emily Blunt, wrote that she’s so excited to furnish her new pad, but she’s in a little over her head.
“I’m SO excited to be in my new house. I just feel so incredibly blessed!” the 20-year-old shared, informing followers that she’s hired interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to help her with the posh digs. “I had completely grown out of my condo and nothing fit anymore. I was there for two years and it was just time. I wanted to entertain properly; I wanted to go outside; I wanted to be able to walk places; I really wanted a pool.”
According to Realtor.com, Jenner’s new 4,800-square-foot home boasts six bedrooms, four full baths, a pool, a mini screening room and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. It’s also conveniently located in the Hollywood Hills above the celeb-loved hotel and hot spot Chateau Marmont.
“I’m really into the modern vibe, but am branching out into vintage, too,” Jenner continued of her decor plans. “I don’t like rooms that are too modern — they feel cold.”
The first item the Estee Lauder spokeswoman purchased was a Cloud Couch from Restoration Hardware, “because it’s just the most comfortable seating around,” she shared. “The most important thing is that I want everyone who comes over to be able to chill and vibe out.”
Jenner has a lot to do before she can vibe out, though, and she seems a little stressed with the overall task. “I have SO much to do!” she concluded. “You don’t realize all of the little things when you come from a smaller space — like guest bathrooms, lol!”
