Under the … Christmas tree! Kendra Wilkinson shared some racy new details about her marriage to Hank Baskett while speaking to Us Weekly on Monday, December 14. The mom of two, 30, said that she and her husband of six years have been attempting to keep the spark alive by spicing up their sex life. And there are some new holiday traditions in tow.
“Hank and I have pretty big goals together,” Wilkinson told Us of the family’s Christmas plans at the JustFab and ShoeDazzle Getting Glam for the Holidays event at Maven in Beverly Hills. “I don’t want anything … I want to save money to go on trips. I want to put whatever money you want to spend on some ugly top that he thinks is cute, put it toward a trip to Hawaii. Or put it toward a trip to, like, the mountains. That’s what I want.”
In fact, she would prefer for their vacation to be just the two of them, without their young kids Hank Jr., 6, and Alijah, 19 months. “We need a little bit of a getaway right now,” she told Us. “We’ve had three months of all kids. Everything kids. Everything. And now we’re finding ourselves — we need a little break. We need to definitely, like, spend some time together. And drink together. And get back to, like, really good sex.”
The two are even soliciting fun ideas. “We need to be more creative in the bed, because … it’s Fargo and then to sleep!” she told Us. “So we’re not really creative. Well, we did have sex in front of the Christmas tree the other night.”
Wilkinson continued to elaborate about their racy romp. “Yeah, we were festive!” she said. “But I think we need to explore each other a little bit more nowadays.”
The reality personality noted that their sometimes-troubled relationship is on the upswing. “It’s a very special year. Everything is going really, really well and we’re all very happy,” she told Us. “This is definitely the year to really celebrate and be together, and really enjoy time together and build the traditions for the kids.”
It’s a stark contrast from the couple’s rocky end to 2014. Wilkinson and Baskett, 33, dealt with a mega marital crisis in summer 2014, when reports surfaced that the former NFL player had an alleged affair with a transgender model — all while his wife was eight-months pregnant with their daughter.
The couple appeared on Marriage Boot Camp, where they tried to work through their issues — and have been publicly sharing their struggles with viewers on their reality series, Kendra on Top.
In a statement to Us Weekly this past September, Wilkinson denied divorce rumblings and said that she and her husband were in it for the long haul. “Marriage is a lifetime of ups and downs,” the former Playmate told Us at the time. “And Hank and I welcome the challenges that will continue to help us recommit our lives to each other and look forward to growing as partners for years to come.”
