Don’t mess with Kesha! The “Warrior” singer fired back at a body shamer with a racy new photo and caption via Instagram on Friday, June 3.
In the pic, the 29-year-old bends over in a barely there swimsuit, sticking her backside out towards the camera.
“I see that you would very much like me to know that you think I’m ugly, and also a ‘whore,’” she wrote. “Well, I understand that that is your opinion, but I disagree. I’m not perfect but I’m pretty f–king magical. and also, I am not, in fact, a whore. also bullying someone who has struggled publicly with body issues is pretty mean. thank god I’m in a place in my life where I feel empowered to address your nasty comments instead of letting them destroy me.”
The “True Colors” songstress continued, “On behalf of anyone anywhere who struggles with body image, STOP IT. my body is not your business. in conclusion, kiss my magical imperfect ass.”
Kesha checked into a rehab facility in Illinois in January 2014, where she sought treatment for an eating disorder after she claimed that music producer Dr. Luke pressured her to lose weight and compared her figure to a refrigerator.
As Us Weekly reported in February, a judge ruled that Kesha could not be released from her Sony contract despite her claims that Dr. Luke, 42, had been sexually, physically and emotionally abusive towards her since she signed with him at age 18. The record producer has since repeatedly denied the allegations.
