Video: Kim Delaney Escorted Offstage After Incoherent Speech

In a move reminiscent of Mariah Carey's slurred acceptance speech at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2010, Army Wives star Kim Delancey, 49, was forced from the stage after fumbling through a speech honoring Former Defense Scretary Robert Gates in Philadelphia Thursday.

The All My Children alum -- who has been treated for alcohol abuse in the past -- fidgeted, sighed and appeared disoriented while attempting to read the teleprompter during a less than two minutes long presentation.

"I've seen soldiers come home with painful life altering injuries borne of their time and service. I've attended numerous military funerals, including that of my best friend's son," she said. "For me, it's all make believe. I do that as a job. It's make believe. I have the luxury of doing all this on a television show," the Emmy-winning star continued, referencing her Lifetime show.

Eventually, Delaney's speech was abruptly cut off by an overhead voice and a stagehand escorted the disheveled actress off-stage.

Delaney's history of alcoholism includes an arrest in 2002 on suspicion of drunk driving as well as two stints in rehab.

She definitely sounds and appears under the influence. I feel if she were having problems with the teleprompter she would have said it or the station.
