Grannies 4 Kim! A few members of the Kardashian family are in the middle of a highly publicized trip to their ancestral homeland of Armenia. Kim and Khloe Kardashian have been touring the sights and greeting fans with Kim’s rapper hubby, Kanye West, and their daughter North.
On Sunday, April 12, Kim, 34, went up to an elderly woman who supposedly waited 12 hours, standing on her feet with a cane to meet the selfie-loving star. While Kim gave her eldest fan a hug and a kiss, her younger sister, 30, was photographed laughing hysterically at the scene.
When they weren’t posing with fans, the Kardashians were visiting Armenia’s biggest sights. On Saturday they toured a church in Gyumri, showing little Nori, 21 months, around and lighting some candles.
They also met up with their cousins Kourtni and Kara and went to the ruins of the house of their late father, Robert Kardashian‘s, ancestors.
“Yes we have 3 cousins who are sisters that all start with a K too! LOL,” Kim tweeted on April 9.
Earlier in the week, the famous family met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan and the Mother Armenia statue.
“He expressed how proud they are that we are proud Armenians and we have not forgotten our roots! #NeverForget,” Kim tweeted of the Prime Minister.
The sisters also made a stop at the Genocide Museum, placing flowers at the memorial. Then on Sunday, April 12, West lent his talents to entertain the people of Armenia, throwing a free concert at Swan Lake.
The overzealous rapper hopped into the lake as thousands of fans snapped pictures and some jumped in with him.
“Thousands of people were there! Kanye jumped in swan lake to be closer to the crowd on the other side & so many people jumped in too!” Kim tweeted. “Such an exciting crazy night! So happy I got to rock out with everyone in Armenia on our last night here!!!! #EpicNight #ArmenianPride.”
