Kim Kardashian undoubtedly lives a luxurious life, but on Thursday, the reality star took to her blog to reflect on those hurt by the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
"Today marks the two year anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, whch killed more than 316,000 people and left 1.5 million people without homes," Kardashian, 31, wrote. "It is so hard for us to imagine waking up one day to find everything we own destroyed, everything we know turned outside down, our loved ones taken away in the blink of an eye. But this was the reality for thousands of Haitian people, who had little time to grieve their losses and bravely started rebuilding their world."
In December, Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner visited Haiti with Mario Bello "to meet the amazing people who have made so much progress since the earthquake." Kardashian was "amazed and inspired by how upbeat and strong" the women were, "despite everything they had been through."
She pointed out that it's "important that we keep spreading awareness and raising funds for the continued rebuilding of Haiti" and thanked We Advance and "all the organizations who work so hard to help rebuild Haiti."
