Nope, it’s not Halloween: That’s just Kim Kardashian and some jelly. In the reality star’s absence, CR Fashion Book editor Carine Roitfeld shared behind-the-scenes photos from Kardashian’s CR 3 photo shoot from back in 2013 on the reality star’s website on Thursday, December 15.
“Our first shoot with Kim Kardashian West was for the cover of CR 3 — an issue filled with rule-breakers and muses who inspired creativity and hope,” former Vogue Paris editor Roitfeld shared, along with a photo of Kardashian’s lips puckered up and covered in jelly. “To me, it was the start of a true friendship with Kim and her beautiful family. To the world, I think Kim became a true muse, and perhaps a true friend too.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been lying low on social media and her app after her traumatic armed robbery on October 3. On Thursday, Kardashian also shared BTS pics from her first-ever Harper’s Bazaar shoot with Karl Lagerfeld. The Selfish author shared with her fans that she was supernervous to be working with Lagerfeld for the first time.
“Before the shoot, I was told that Karl supposedly gives you a Chanel purse the first time he works with you. The whole time, I was anxiously waiting to see if this legend was true,” Kardashian recalled. “During the shoot, my mom showed up to support me and she was all decked out in head-to-toe Chanel — I’m talking gloves, sunglasses, earrings, boots and a jacket. I thought she was SO embarrassing, LOL, but Karl loved it so much that he pulled out a Chanel purse — not just any purse, but their beautiful crystal Lego clutch. I got so excited, thinking Karl was going to give me a surprise bag, but instead he goes straight to the Chanel queen herself: Kris Jenner.”
Kardashian, who was pregnant with daughter North at the time, added that she was “hormonal and emotional” and that she went to the bathroom to cry. “I was upset that my mom stole my moment!” Kardashian explained. “More importantly, I really wanted to one day give North that bag as a token from my only pregnancy shoot.”
The KUWTK star concluded that she ended up laughing off the moment years later with the designer, and, of course, she has plenty of Chanel bags now.
After months of lying low, Kardashian is slowing getting back out there. The social media maven attended her family friend Shelli Azoff’s annual Christmas party at the Forum in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 14.
