According to The Hollywood Reporter, police have recovered surveillance camera footage from a shoe store across the street from the luxury apartment building, known as Hôtel de Pourtales or “No Address Hotel,” where Kardashian was sleeping when five men disguised as police officers attacked her, taking off with $10 million worth of jewels.

The CCTV footage shows a black limo with tinted windows passing the building three times at 2:34 a.m., 2:45 a.m. and 2:54 a.m. Us Weekly previously reported that Kardashian, 35, was robbed early Monday morning and after having her hands bound and being locked in a bathroom, called her bodyguard for help at 2:56 a.m.

The footage is a crucial piece to the puzzle for law enforcement.

A police official previously told Us that the crime is believed to have been committed by a “highly organized” gang who did a great deal of planning before the raid. Another source tells Us that police have concerns it was an “inside job.”

“Detectives are satisfied that the robbers could have easily tricked their way into Kardashian’s apartment block, [but] it is not clear how they got into her actual flat,” the source told Us of the investigation. “The baffling part of the inquiry is how the robbers got into the apartment. Of course it’s possible they tricked their way in, but at that time of the [early morning] it’s unclear who actually opened the door.”

Law enforcement previously confirmed that the thieves attacked a male concierge to gain access to the apartment. It’s also believed that they escaped via bicycles. It’s been difficult for authorities to obtain footage given Paris’ privacy laws. According to THR, “most streets in Paris do not maintain public surveillance cameras, as city government has fought to balance privacy and security concerns. Paris has roughly 1,300 cameras to London’s 75,000.”

The limo footage is just the latest lead in the ongoing investigation. As previously reported, it is believed that Kardashian was also followed by men in a gray Fiat 500 prior to being robbed.
