Kim Kardashian's NYC Birthday Dinner: All the Details!

Kim Kardashian kicked off her 31st birthday festivities with an intimate dinner at NYC hotspot The Darby on Friday.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who wore an all-black outfit with an oversized fur vest and a purple wide-brim hat, was surrounded by her sister Kourtney and her boyfriend Scott Disick, husband Kris Humphries, and several close pals including LaLa Vazquez Anthony and Joyce Bonelli.

Also in the room but not at Kardashian's table: ex-beau Nick Lachey and singer Pink, who sang "Killing Me Softly with His Song" on her own with the help from the house band.

An insider tells Us Weekly that at one point, the band's frontman put Kim and Kris unexpectedly on the spot.

"We're so glad that we get to spend our evening with Mrs. Kim! Hold her! Tell her you love her!" he instructed Kris from the stage. The NBA player smiled and grabbed Kim, lifting her off the ground. Then after he hesitated awkwardly, Kim stepped in and yelled into the mic, "I love him!" followed by a hug and a kiss. They both smiled and sat down, both obviously a little embarrassed at being spontaneously put in the spotlight.

The evening ended with the band delivering a birthday cake to Kim's table, followed by the room singing "Happy Birthday," which was led by Lala.

Kardashian will continue her birthday weekend with another bash in Las Vegas Saturday.

I hope some of that fur fell into her food and she ate it. I am not a stupid PETA idiot, but I am against these rich imbeciles wearing fur. I wish every fur-wearing nitwit would make a large donation to the ASPCA (NOT PETA!!) if they insist on wearing the fur of an animal no one even uses as food.

At 4 years her junior, Kris may still be a little too immature to express his love for Kim, especially in public. Their Sun signs are very compatible (Libra and Aquarius) but their Moon signs suggest trouble ahead. (Aries and Virgo) On the iphone App AstroPal they score only 17 points - not enough for a good long term relationship - but we wish them luck all the same.
