Will Kris Humphries have the last word?
Back in April, Kanye West released his “Cold” single in April (previously titled “Theraflu” and “Way Too Cold”) that featured an apparent dig at Kim Kardashian‘s soon-to-be ex-husband Humphries. The 27-year-old NBA player didn’t respond — until now!
Humphries signed a two-year deal for a reported $24 million on Tuesday to remain with the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN. To celebrate, he tweeted Tuesday, “I’m up at Brooklyn! . . . ‘lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team.’ “
The athlete seemed to reference Nets co-owner Jay-Z in his tweet. West, 35, featured a similar line about his close friend and collaborator, Jay-Z, in his “Cold” track, rapping, “Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.” He implied he could have Kardashian’s ex fired from the team.
West and Kardashian, 31, have been dating for five months now. A source close to the couple has confirmed to Us Weekly, “They’re seriously talking marriage. And yes, she would [accept his proposal].”
The rapper also caved and got a private cell phone for Kardashian. West “doesn’t like to be tied down by technology,” a source told Us, adding the hip hop star didn’t have a cell before dating Kardashian.
“It frustrated Kim,” adds the insider. “She had to call him through a bodyguard.”
So West got a secret phone and “he only uses it for Kim!”
