Kristin Cavallari "Blindsided" by Broken Engagement

After a three-month engagement, Kristin Cavallari is back on the market.
The former MTV reality star, 24, is no longer engaged to Chicago Bears player Jay Cutler, 28, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly. The two announced their engagement in April after just eight months of courtship.

(Cutler confirmed the split himself early Monday via his Facebook page: "Thank you all for the support, but if you talk bad about Kristin I will delete and block you," he wrote. The athlete also changed his profile picture from one of him and Cavallari to one of him and his sister, Jenna.)
According to one insider, Cavallari -- who rose to fame on Laguna Beach and The Hills -- was "blindsided" by the split. "Jay dumped her out of nowhere."

"They just had their engagement party last Saturday and then he decided he didn't want her anymore," the insider adds. "She's upset. She was ready to marry him." A second source notes that Cavallari's "family and friends had a feeling [the split] was going to happen."
Despite her heartbreak, the reality star hit up West Hollywood hotspot The Beverly Lounge on Saturday -- without her 5.2 carat engagement ring.

"Kristin came out to party with her girlfriends," an eyewitness tells Us. She hung out at the VIP table with Nicky Hilton and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, and former Top Chef contestant Marcel Vigneron served them nitrogen-infused cocktails.

"Nicky and Kristin were dancing on the banquet of their VIP table," the eyewitness says. "Kristin was smiling and in great spirits."

It's not like it would've lasted anyway. No one under 40 should be married - you don't even know who you are until you're 40.
