Lamar Odom has the support of his family and friends, as well as his two children, daughter Destiny, 17, and son Lamar Jr., 13.
"Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends," Odom’s kids said in a statement to Us Weekly on Thursday, Oct. 15. "We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers."
As previously reported by Us, Odom’s estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, arranged for Odom’s kids and ex-girlfriend Liza Morales to fly from New York to Las Vegas. They arrived on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and have since remained by the athlete’s side.
Odom, who has been in the hospital since Tuesday, Oct. 13, dated Morales for more than 10 years before marrying Khloe in 2009. The basketball player and Morales also shared a son named Jayden, who died at the age of 6 months from SIDS in 2006.
Odom remains in critical condition. The former Lakers pro was found unconscious at Dennis Hof’s legal brothel Love Ranch South by two employees after partying for days.
Odom’s dad, Joe, is also in Las Vegas with him.
