Time flies when you're having fun! A year-and-a-half ago yesterday, on Feb. 14, 2012, Lauren Conrad was set up with University of Southern California law student William Tell. The two hit it off immediately — and the rest, as they say, is history.
"Just looked at the calendar and realized it was a year and a half ago today that I met this guy…And I sure am glad I did," the Paper Crown designer, 27, wrote on Instagram on Aug. 14, alongside a sweet snapshot of herself with Tell, 33.
Introduced by pals on Valentine's Day in 2012, the Hills alum and her Something Corporate rocker beau have settled into a quiet life together, away from the cameras that followed her around on Laguna Beach and then on The Hills. "We spend a lot of weekends [at my family's house] hanging out by the pool and doing nothing," she told Us Weekly in June.
"My family loves him, so they love when we come to visit," she added. And though the couple are not yet engaged, her parents are "all about it."
"We aren't in a rush, though," she clarified. "We're happy where we are right now."
Conrad — whose exes include Stephen Colletti, Jason Wahler, Brody Jenner, and My Boys actor Kyle Howard — has said her relationship with Tell is a comfortable one. "He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up," she told Marie Claire in July.
"It's the first time I'm with someone and I'm not explaining things," she said. "He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don't always get."
