Cheers! Leah Remini opened up about leaving the Church of Scientology while on Watch What Happens Live on Bravo on Wednesday, July 9.
During a game of Plead the Fifth, the actress was asked what the worst and best part of leaving the religion was. "I'd say the worst part was I couldn't drink every other day, and the best is, I can drink every other day," Remini laughingly answered while then taking a sip of red wine.
The King of Queens star was also asked if good friend Jennifer Lopez was dating Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Remini said, "They are not an item. They are [just] friends."
The Leah Remini: It's All Relative star, who famously left Scientology in July 2013, also said in an interview with Good Morning America on July 9 she does, at times, miss those affiliated with the religion. (The church's most famous members include John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Kristie Alley and Elisabeth Moss, among others.)
"You look through your phone [and] you're like, 'Oh, I can't call this person.' But you know, as we were in that time of loss and grief, still sad we lost our friends, we also have to look at what we do have," she said. "We have great family. We have great friends still in our lives."
