Exclusive: LeAnn Rimes' Ex "Graduated First in My Class" at Cooking School

Kudos to Dean Sheremet!
The ex-husband of LeAnn Rimes graduated at the top of his class from Manhattan's French Culinary Institute on Tuesday, he tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

To reach his feat, Sheremet, 29, completed six months (600 hours and 120 classes) of intense training.
"I won perfect attendance, graduating with distinction and highest cumulative score. Triple threat!" Sheremet gushed to Us Wednesday.

Given his status as valedictorian, the single guy was obligated to give a speech. "I dedicated the award to my classmates, who I learned just as much from as the program."
What's next for him? "I want to apprentice somewhere," he tells Us. "I would love to do a travel, food, lifestyle show someday."
Following Rimes' revealed affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, Sheremet and Rimes, 27, divorced in late December 2009 after six years together. In August 2009, he told Us that the breakup was "surreal. But I'm doing OK."

Responding to the presumption that he thinks he can get a cooking show because he was once married to a famous person, you do not have to be associated with someone famous to get a cooking show. Rachael Ray was a nobody before 30 minute meals. She made her own fame. If Deane is a good cook, and a good personality on camera, he has got a great shot at becoming a cooking show host.
Good for him. The best revenge is moving on and living a great life.

I'm SO proud of my little brother!! He's one of the best well-mannered young man I know. It REALLY pisses my off of mean, nasty people trying to put him down or hurt him by saying he gay. COME ON!
