Leslie Jones is putting her foot down. The Ghostbusters actress called out racist Internet trolls by posting their sickening messages on her Twitter feed on Monday, July 18. Shortly after, celebs including Reese Witherspoon and Sherri Shepherd came to her aid, tweeting support at the actress with the hashtag #LoveforLeslieJ.
“You know I'm gonna stop blocking so y'all can go through my feed yourself and see the bs. You won't believe the evil. It's f–king scary,” Jones, 48, tweeted before unleashing a series of the racist remarks she’s received.
“I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face,” she explained to her followers. “I’m tryin to figure out what human means. I'm out.”
According to her feed, she’s also been sent racist poems and has been told that she looks like an “orangutan.”
“SHE HAS NO STYLE SHE HAS NO GRACE THIS LESLIE (KONG) HAS A FUNNY FACE,” one user tweeted at the actress. “So sad, these people have mothers and sisters and aunts. So f–king sickening,” Jones commented along with the nasty remark.
“Like I’m scare[d] for our future,” the actress expressed while continuing to repost more racist remarks while her A-list pals came to her defense.
I use to wonder why some celebs don't have Twitter accts now I know. You can't be nice and communicate with fans cause people crazy.
