Well, she never claimed to be traditional! After reuniting with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth last year, Miley Cyrus decided to start wearing the engagement ring he’d given her back in 2012. But a source says the Hunger Games actor, 26, “never formally proposed again!”
The “Dooo It!” singer, 23, simply decided to start sporting the 3.5-carat Neil Lane sparkler Hemsworth had helped design. “Liam noticed,” the pal says of the pair, who called off their nuptials in September 2013. “They are telling friends they’re engaged.”
The friendly exes began hanging out again after she split from Patrick Schwarzenegger in April. Eight months later, Cyrus flew to Australia to ring in 2016 with Hemsworth and his family. There, a source says, “Things started getting romantic.”
They haven’t slowed down since. The two kissed and cuddled openly at a pre–Golden Globes bash at West Hollywood’s Soho House January 8. Says an onlooker, “They left in the same SUV.”
As Us previously reported, they’re also cohabiting. A week after their Soho House kiss, Cyrus unloaded a U-Haul truck outside Hemsworth’s nearly $7 million Malibu home. Adds the insider, “Miley is definitely ready to settle down.”
