Lionel Richie: Sparrow Looks "Just Like Harlow"

Less than a week after his daughter Nicole gave birth to her second child, Lionel Richie isn't wasting any time bonding with his new grandson, Sparrow.

"I brought the football helmet and the cleats, and they told me it wasn't time yet," he told Usmagazine.com at An Evening of Stars Tribute to Lionel Richie in Pasadena on Saturday. "Sparrow may not be the football-playing name, but that means he's going to be a bruiser... The point is, I love him."
He told Us that Harlow, 1, also loves her new brother -- for now.

"Harlow, right now, is enjoying the baby until she finds out that it's staying," Lionel said. "You know how siblings are!"
He added: "[Sparrow] does look just like Harlow. I have pictures. It's the same. All babies kind of look the same with their siblings, but this one is identical."
As for Nicole, Lionel told Us she's the best she's ever been.

"She is the happiest person I have met in my life," he said. "Right now, she's just in total control. I'm the one that's nervous. I'm Grandpa."

I think Sparrow is a beautiful name and I can't wait to see pictures of him. I'm so happy for Joel and Nicole. I've been a Joel Madden/Good Charlotte fan for years and it is hard to believe that Joel is the father of two kids now. He seems like a really good dad though, and Nicole seems like a great mom. I love them!!!
