Don’t underestimate the importance of body language! Kim Kardashian may have “broken the Internet” last week with her nude Paper magazine cover, but Disney villain Ursula has now taken it a step further in her quest to “break the ocean.” Artist Olga Andriyenko recreated the now-infamous cover, putting her own quirky spin on things by drawing the purple Little Mermaid diva in the same pose as Kardashian, 34.
And if you thought Kanye West’s wife had a bodacious booty, just wait until you see Ursula’s! Fortunately Andriyenko spared us from seeing what her full-frontal look would be (so many tentacles!), but the cheeky drawing for “Water” magazine is still capable of ruining all childhood memories you may have once had.
Ursula isn’t the first to spoof Kimmie’s cover. Comedian Chelsea Handler posted a photo of her booty to Instagram in a split photo with Kardashian’s, and Ellen DeGeneres made her annual Christmas card with wife Portia de Rossi an image of both of them striking Kardashian’s pose and holding hands while red bows cover their butts.
Instead of being offended by the comparisons, Kardashian has embraced the buzz her cover created. While currently promoting her perfume in Australia, the reality star spoke on Aussie TV show The Project about her headline-making shoot.
“I was so honored and excited to work with [photographer Jean-Paul Goude] because he is a legend, and for me that was something I wanted to do to make myself feel confident,” she explained. “As a role model I’m not saying anyone else should do that, but for me it was an art project and it taught me to do what you want to do.”
