No shade! Lorde insisted that she wasn’t dissing Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles in an Instagram post on Saturday, January 2.
The “Royals” singer, 19, shared a snap that featured a painting of a girl on a yacht. She captioned it, “When you scroll through your feed and all the pretty famous boys and girls are on yachts or in Saint Barth’s and you’re at home where it’s raining and you’ve never even been on a holiday to another country before, never been to a tropical island let alone Saint Barth’s and actually you aren’t even sure if you’re spelling Saint Barth’s right.”
Shortly after, fans began commenting on the post, speculating that she was taking a jab at the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 20, and the One Direction heartthrob, 21. The two spent the New Year’s holiday on a yacht together in St. Bart’s, engaging in a whole lot of PDA.
Still, the teen insisted she wasn’t directing her post toward the pair, providing a clarification underneath the post’s original caption.
“Lol no ‘shade’ folks if I were on an island or in even nearish proximity to a yacht you would be hearing all the f–k about it just making fun of my own lameness,” she explained.
Styles and Jenner were photographed enjoying a flirty swim together on Thursday, December 31. At one point, the British hunk, still submerged in water, grabbed the model’s leg playfully as she tried to get back on the boat.
Meanwhile, neither has confirmed on social media that they are actually dating.
