Haters gonna hate. Luann de Lesseps revealed during an appearance on the Steve Harvey Show that she’s still marrying fiance Tom D'Agostino Jr. despite their bumpy engagement.
As fans of The Real Housewives of New York City are well aware, the former Countess was informed by costar Bethenny Frankel that D’Agostino had cheated on her days before their engagement party.
“I feel really lucky to have a second chance. At over 50 years old, I’m getting married again,” the reality star gushed to Steve Harvey while talking about her upcoming New Year’s Eve wedding. “It’s very easy to walk away,” she added. “The hard part is staying and working it out.”
Smoother roads ahead, de Lesseps said that she and D’Agostino — who famously dated RHONY costars Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer — are “stronger than ever.”
The Bravo personality will say “I do” to D’Agostino in Palm Beach, Florida, on NYE, which also marks her husband-to-be’s 50th birthday.
"I'm wearing three dresses,” she told Harvey of her big night. “I wanted to wear like something traditional to walk down the aisle, because Tom has never been married, so I wanted to be his bride," she explained. "Then for his birthday, so I was maybe going to sing a little something for him. And then for New Year's Eve, I wanted to wear something really blingy and fun for New Year's, so why not?"
The businessman proposed to de Lesseps in February. This will be the first marriage for D’Agostino and the second marriage for de Lesseps, who was previously married to French Count Alexandre de Lesseps for 16 years prior to their 2009 divorce. They share adult kids Victoria and Noel.
