“It just was not working and they didn’t have enough in common,” the insider tells Us.

Anthony, 48, and the Venezuelan model, 28, tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony in the Dominican Republic on November 11, 2014. The two first began dating in 2012, just months after the Latin crooner and ex-wife Jennifer Lopez ended their seven-year marriage.

Though Anthony and De Lima took a brief break in 2013, they reunited on the set of the Grammy winner’s 2014 music video for “Flor Palida,” and were married just one month later.

During their short-lived union, the former couple got along quite well with J. Lo, with whom Anthony shares 8-year-old twins Max and Emme. Back in August, Anthony and De Lima happily posed for a photo with the “On the Floor” songstress and her on-again, off-again beau, Casper Smart, after attending Lopez’s All I Have Las Vegas residency.

At the time, De Lima shared an Instagram snap of herself and Anthony sitting in the front row at Lopez’s concert. “Having an amazing time in Vegas #jlo all I have amazing show,” she captioned the pic. “Congrats baby! 🙋🏼😃.”

While Anthony has called it quits with De Lima, he seems to still be on good terms with Lopez. As previously reported, he and the pop superstar surprised the crowd at the Latin Grammy Awards on Thursday, November 17, with a performance of their new single “Olvídame y Pega la Vuelta.” After their number was finished, Anthony was honored with the ceremony’s Person of the Year award. As the audience began chanting “Beso!” — which means “kiss” in Spanish — the former spouses went in for a smooch.

Prior to their PDA, Lopez shared some sweet sentiments about the father of her children. “Marc is a living legend. He is a magical and pure artist giving away classics that will stay forever,” she said in a short speech. “He will always be many things in my life.”

E! News was the first to report Anthony and De Lima’s split.
