If Mariah Carey could go back in time, she’d fire her glam squad. During a recent interview with PrideSource, the songstress was asked what she thinks “1990 Mariah would think of 2016 Mariah.”
“I was such a kid, just in over my head, but I knew that I was gonna do this for my life and so I probably would’ve been like, ‘Who does your hair and makeup?'” the self-proclaimed diva said. “Cause they had me with some people who didn’t know what they were doing, and I knew it wasn’t really good, and I’d just be like, ‘Who does your lighting, hair and makeup?'”
Carey also acknowledged that her team put her in a lot of black outfits. “They did. It was just like, ‘Ahhh,’ such a long story,” she said. “You don’t even wanna know.”
Nowadays, the Grammy winner makes her own decisions — including to cook pizza in lingerie and wear evening gowns in broad daylight.
The “We Belong Together” singer told PrideSource that her sexy April 18 Instagram photo of herself cooking pizza in a white negligee was not for a shoot. “It was real! That’s what I walk around in!” she told the site. “I barely own any clothes! All I have is friggin’ lingerie.”
Carey added that she’s settled into her routine at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace by making herself feel at home.
“I just bought a lot of lingerie,” she joked to PrideSource.
